DJI Transmission (Standard Combo)
DJI Transmission
Vision beyond borders
DJI Transmission is a further development of the established transmission technology of DJI aircraft. It is an integrated solution with video receiver, monitor, controller and transmitter. The perfect integration with products from the Ronin series and DJI Master Wheels offers the industry a revolutionary transmission that allows for a vision beyond borders.
Two combos, different functions
The DJI Transmission series is now available in both a very bright monitor combo and a standard combo, meeting the needs of different shooting scenarios.
DJI Transmission
(standard combo)
Includes a DJI Video Transmitter and a DJI Video Receiver.
This combo offers extended range and low latency transmission, making it ideal for large monitors. It now also supports metadata transmission over SDI and fractional frame rates.
DJI Transmission
(Very bright monitor combo)
Includes a DJI video transmitter and a DJI high-brightness wireless monitor.
This integrated solution combines reception, image control, recording and control in one. Combined with the extensive DJI PRO ecosystem, it offers a more efficient coordinated experience.
A new era
Revolutionary transmission
Long-range HD live feed
DJI Transmission integrates O3 Pro video transmission technology, which offers an incredible range of 6 km. It also supports 1080p/60fps transmission with a maximum bitrate of 40 Mbps, as well as 16-bit 48 kHz live audio monitoring, giving film crews on large sets excellent visual and audio control over shooting.
Ultra-low latency
The transmitter and receiver use the same chip as the Ronin 4D, with each connection explicitly optimized to provide ultra-low latency when connecting to cinema cameras like the ALEXA Mini LF.
Seamless automatic frequency switching
O3 Pro adds DFS bands in addition to the traditional 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz frequency bands, offering up to 23 channels that provide professional film crews with interference-free transmission options. In addition, DJI Transmission supports automatic frequency switching with three frequency bands, scanning the electromagnetic environment for the best radio channel. A built-in radio scanner even lets you manually select the optimal channel to avoid interference between devices. Mounting high-gain antennas further increases transmission capability.
One transmitter with multiple receivers
Both the high-brightness wireless monitor and video receiver support one transmitter with multiple receivers for video and audio feeds in two transmission modes. The standard transmission mode allows an unlimited number of receivers, suitable for real-time image control by multiple teams such as lighting, art department, and makeup on sets with large crews. The bit rate and video codecs of a live feed can also be displayed in real time. If you want to switch the camera index for image control, you can simply select the corresponding index without having to check the transmission channel, which greatly improves shooting efficiency. To connect to DJI Master Wheels or other control options, select the control mode on the DJI wireless monitor or video receiver and pair it with the video transmitter. Then Ronin 2, RS 3 Pro, and camera focus can be remotely controlled at up to two reception points without affecting other devices connected via the transmission mode. In addition, the video receiver supports voice calls for direct, real-time voice transmission over extremely long distances, enabling seamless communication between cameraman and director or client.
Metadata Transfer
The DJI Video Transmitter supports camera metadata transfer via SDI. When used with ARRI, RED and other mainstream cinema cameras, the file name, time code, recording trigger, camera settings (shutter, ISO, etc.) and lens data (aperture, focal length) can be transmitted from the receiver to monitors and QTAKE, allowing directors, camera operators and DIT teams to obtain detailed shooting data on set.
Encrypted transmission
DJI Transmission supports secure connections and AES 256-bit encryption to protect against unauthorized access. Together with DJI's proprietary chip and transmission protocol, DJI Transmission is able to ensure the highest level of security for your footage.
Improve your vision
Brilliant screen
Integrated design
Compared to conventional solutions, DJI Transmission integrates a very bright monitor with a receiver, offering optimal mobility and efficient setup so you can get started quickly in any environment.
The wireless monitor uses the same chip used in the Ronin 4D. This means that in addition to image control, it offers many functions for integrated and efficient reception, control and recording.
Wide color spectrum touchscreen
The very bright wireless monitor is equipped with a 7" wide color spectrum touchscreen with a brightness of up to 1,500 nits. It comes with a tempered glass screen protector and a professional monitor bezel to deliver rich, lifelike colors even in strong light. The screen has a resolution of 1920×1200 and displays details such as recording parameters via a clearly structured user interface to facilitate operation and image control.
Supporting Tools
The DJI wireless monitor features supporting tools such as safe zone, assist frame, zebra stripes, false color, peaking, waveform and double tap to zoom, as well as on-screen color calibration and custom 3D LUT table for precise image composition, exposure and focusing.
Independent recording and playback
The DJI wireless monitor features a microSD card slot and allows independent recording and storage of H.264 live feeds at up to 1080p/60fps. The wireless monitor can automatically start and stop recording in sync with the camera, making it easy to edit proxies directly on set. When multiple wireless monitors are combined, each monitor can even record or play back footage independently without interfering with other monitors.
Integrated into the DJI ecosystem
Extensive control options
Integrated motion control unit
The very bright wireless monitor has an integrated gyroscope, which means it can be used as a motion control unit for Ronin 2 or RS 3 Pro without additional accessories. This allows more complex camera movements to be realized from a moving vehicle or with a boom.
Compatible with the Ronin 4D handgrips
The very bright wireless monitor comes with a protective frame with expansion options. When using the Ronin 4D handgrips, the joystick can control a Ronin 2 or RS 3 Pro gimbal, and the focus wheel can be used to adjust focus and camera parameters such as aperture, shutter and ISO, while the record button controls the start/stop of video recording. This gives the RS 3 Pro a similar user experience to the Ronin 4D.
Compatible with DJI Master Wheels and DJI Force Pro
Both the video receiver and DJI radio monitor can be used with DJI Master Wheels to achieve more advanced gimbal control when using Ronin 2 or RS 3 Pro. In this scenario, the original equipment transmits control signals directly via DJI Transmission without the need to additionally attach antennas to DJI Master Wheels. This increases the transmission power by three times and improves signal range, stability and interference immunity.
DJI LiDAR Rangefinder (RS) to DJI Transmission Cable Adapter
The DJI LiDAR Rangefinder (RS) to DJI Transmission Cable Adapter allows you to connect the DJI Video Transmitter to the DJI LiDAR Rangefinder (RS) and DJI RS Focus Motor (2022). This makes the focusing and image control system independent and allows you to achieve lens calibration and autofocus with a manual lens without connecting to the RS 3 Pro. When connected to Ronin 4D handgrips, you get a LiDAR Waveform that facilitates manual precision focusing. Connecting to the DJI RS 3 Pro offers a range of shooting solutions that integrate stabilization, wireless image control, gimbal control and LiDAR focusing.
Mirrored Control Mode
With the RS 3 Pro mounted on booms, cable cams and vehicles, mirrored control mode lets you remotely control the menu of Sony mirrorless cameras from anywhere on set.
